Find your dog's size in 30 seconds
1. Measure the back. With your dog standing, run a tape measure from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail.
2. Find that number below.
| Size | Your dog's back length | Typical dogs | Coat length (laid flat) |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 28–33 cm | Chihuahua, Yorkie, small Jack Russell | 46 cm |
| S | 34–40 cm | Jack Russell, Westie, Cavalier, small Cavapoo | 59 cm |
| M | 41–50 cm | Cockapoo, Cocker Spaniel, French Bulldog, Beagle | 66 cm |
| L | 51–60 cm | Springer Spaniel, Border Collie, Staffy | 80 cm |
| XL | 61–75 cm | Labrador, Golden Retriever, Labradoodle | 92 cm |
Between two sizes? Go up. The velcro at the neck and belly takes up the slack.
Deep or barrel chest? French Bulldogs, Staffies, Whippets and Greyhounds often need one size up from their back length.
Long, low breeds: dachshunds, bassets and corgis need a special cut, and this coat isn't it. We'd rather tell you now.
The breeds are a guide, not a promise. Every dog's a bit different, so trust the tape measure.
